So, first off, I must apologise for my atrocious grammar in the first posting.  It will not happen again, unless I get horribly drunk and start to drink and blog.  Now, as I mentioned before one of the ideas behind Atelier 688’s design philosophy is to strive towards, but not be burdened down by, design that is in accord with a modern ‘environmentally friendly,’ design aesthetic.  By striving to use reclaimed materials such as; salvaged woods, whether from barns or dragged out of the woods by Mike Greenwood himself, vintage birdcages, kayaks, canoes, snowboards etc. and reworking them into beautiful and useful lighting fixtures, furniture and so on we, at the Atelier, are hoping to rewire the way people think about what is junk and what is useful.
More to come y’all….we are just getting started ;)
